Qafa e Lerave
About
Qafa e Lerave is a low pass through the hills that rise inland from the Bay of Vlorë, on the back road between Lapardha and the Vjosa valley. It sits at roughly 200 metres and offers a clear view back over the coastal plain and the bay on one side, and forward across the flatter agricultural land toward the river on the other.
There is no viewpoint, no facility, and nothing to do except stop on the road and look. The road itself is the reason to come: it bypasses the main highway and runs through a quieter landscape of olive groves and scrubland, more useful as a scenic link between Vlorë and the Vjosa than as a destination on its own.
Cyclists and drivers looking for an alternative route south will find it without difficulty; the surface is reasonable.
