Booking terms

On-platform bookings with partners, plus what happens when you continue on Viator, Booking.com, or other channels.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

1. Scope

These Booking Terms apply when you make an on-platform booking through Teravia — that is, a booking request or checkout completed inside Teravia for a tour, activity, accommodation stay, restaurant reservation, or similar experience offered by a partner.

They do not replace the terms of third-party booking channels. If a listing sends you to Viator, Booking.com, Airbnb, a restaurant booking widget, or another external checkout, that provider’s contract governs the purchase. Teravia’s role there is discovery and referral unless we expressly state otherwise on the page.

These Booking Terms sit alongside our Terms of Use, Cancellation Policy, and Privacy Policy.

2. Parties to the booking

  • You (the guest) — the person placing the booking and anyone travelling under it
  • The partner — the tour operator, hotel, guesthouse, restaurant, or other supplier that delivers the experience
  • Teravia — the marketplace operator that provides listing, messaging, booking status, and (where enabled) payment facilitation

Unless Teravia is expressly identified as the seller at checkout, the partner is the provider of the experience. Teravia is not the tour guide, hotelier, or restaurant host.

3. How on-platform booking works

  1. You select a listing, date (and end date where required), and number of guests.
  2. You submit a booking request or complete checkout with accurate contact details.
  3. Teravia records the booking and notifies the partner.
  4. Status may be pending, held, confirmed, declined, cancelled, or expired depending on the listing and partner response.
  5. You can track status under My bookings when signed in.

A pending request is not a guaranteed confirmation until the partner accepts or the listing’s rules auto-confirm. If a hold expires without confirmation, the slot may be released.

4. What you are booking

The listing description, inclusions, exclusions, duration, meeting point, language, difficulty, and house rules form part of the booking offer. Photos are illustrative. Minor itinerary changes may occur for safety or operational reasons; material changes should be communicated by the partner promptly.

5. Price, taxes, and fees

  • The price shown at checkout for that date and guest mix is the Teravia booking price for the on-platform path
  • Currency is as displayed (typically EUR unless stated otherwise)
  • Taxes, resort fees, city taxes, tip expectations, or pay-at-venue amounts may be listed separately — read the listing carefully
  • Optional extras (equipment rental, private transfers, upgrades) may be arranged with the partner and billed separately

If we discover an obvious pricing error, we may cancel and refund or offer you the chance to proceed at the correct price.

6. Payment models

Depending on the partner and listing, payment may be:

  • Paid online through Teravia or a payment processor at booking or confirmation
  • Partially paid as a deposit with balance due later
  • Pay on arrival / pay the partner directly after confirmation
  • Request-only with no card charge until accepted

Failed payments, expired cards, or unpaid balances may result in cancellation of the hold or confirmation according to the listing rules.

7. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate guest names, ages (where relevant), and contact details
  • Arrive at the meeting point on time with any required documents
  • Follow partner safety instructions and local law
  • Disclose medical or mobility needs that affect participation before booking when the activity requires it
  • Check passport, visa, driving, and insurance requirements yourself
  • Supervise minors in your party

8. Partner responsibilities

Partners must deliver the experience with reasonable care, honour confirmed bookings or offer a fair alternative/refund path, keep listing information accurate, and handle guest data only for fulfilling the booking. See also the Partner Terms.

9. Teravia’s role

  • Operate the marketplace and booking interface
  • Transmit booking details between guest and partner
  • Display status and confirmation codes
  • Assist with communication when both parties use the platform
  • Process payments where that feature is enabled for the listing

Teravia does not control weather, traffic, ferry schedules, partner staffing, or third-party transport unless expressly included and operated by us (which is uncommon).

10. Changes requested by you

Date or guest-count changes are not guaranteed. Ask via your booking page or contact the partner/Teravia as early as possible. Price differences may apply. Change fees follow the listing and partner policy.

11. Cancellations, no-shows, and force majeure

See the Cancellation Policy. In summary: free-cancellation windows follow the listing when set; partner cancellations should be communicated promptly; no-shows are typically non-refundable; severe weather and other force majeure events may trigger rebooking or refunds under the partner’s and payment provider’s rules.

12. Complaints

  1. Raise the issue with the partner on the day when safe and practical.
  2. If unresolved, contact Teravia at info@teravia.al or WhatsApp +355 68 352 6713 with your confirmation code, dates, and a short description.
  3. We will review platform records and help mediate where we can. We cannot force a partner outcome beyond contractual and legal limits.

13. Liability for the experience

Liability for the delivery of the tour, stay, or meal rests primarily with the partner. Teravia’s liability related to on-platform bookings is limited as described in the Terms of Use, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.

14. Third-party booking reminder

If you leave Teravia to complete a booking elsewhere:

  • Read that site’s terms, cancellation rules, and privacy policy before paying
  • Keep their confirmation email — refunds and changes go through them
  • Teravia can usually still help you find the listing you clicked, but cannot cancel a Viator/Booking.com/Airbnb reservation on your behalf unless we have a specific integration to do so
