Terms of use
The rules for using Teravia’s marketplace, trip tools, and booking flows.
Last updated: 26 August 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Teravia’s website, apps, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
If you book through Teravia’s on-platform checkout, our Booking Terms and Cancellation Policy also apply. Partners listing on Teravia are also bound by our Partner Terms.

3. What Teravia is
Teravia is an Albania-focused travel marketplace and planning platform. We help you discover destinations, places, tours, stays, and restaurants, save them to trips, and book where available.
Bookings on Teravia work in two main ways:
- On-platform bookings — you request or confirm a booking inside Teravia. Teravia facilitates the booking between you and the partner (tour operator, accommodation, restaurant, or similar). The partner supplies and runs the experience.
- Third-party bookings — for some listings we link or redirect you to an external booking channel (for example Viator, Booking.com, Airbnb, or a partner’s own reservation system). That provider’s terms, privacy policy, prices, and cancellation rules apply to that booking.
Teravia is not a tourism board, airline, insurance company, or the operator of every experience shown. Editorial guides and recommendations are planning aids, not guarantees.
4. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 to create an account, or the minimum age required in your country if higher.
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity under your account.
- One person or business should not create accounts to manipulate rankings, reviews, or inventory.
- We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, harm users or partners, or create security risk.
5. Licence to use the Service
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal travel planning and booking, or for legitimate partner use under a partner account. You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download listings beyond normal browsing
- Reverse engineer or interfere with the Service’s security or availability
- Use the Service to send spam, malware, or deceptive content
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Use automated tools to place abusive booking requests
6. Content on Teravia
Listings may include partner-provided text, photos, prices, itineraries, and availability. Editorial pages are written or curated by Teravia. Content can change without notice. Always confirm critical details (meeting points, opening hours, road access, inclusions, age limits) with the partner when it matters.
Prices shown may be indicative, “from” prices, or live rates pulled from a third party. Currency, taxes, and fees depend on the listing and the checkout channel.
7. User content
If you submit reviews, photos, trip notes, or messages, you keep ownership but grant Teravia a worldwide licence to host, display, and use that content to operate and promote the Service. You confirm you have the rights to submit it and that it is lawful and accurate.
8. Bookings overview
8.1 On-platform
When you complete an on-platform booking request or checkout, you enter a booking relationship with the partner for that experience. Teravia provides the marketplace technology, messaging, and status tracking. Details are in the Booking Terms.
8.2 Third-party
When a listing sends you off-platform, Teravia is not the merchant of record for that booking unless we expressly say otherwise at checkout. Disputes about those bookings should be raised first with the third-party provider and the partner, though we can help identify the listing and confirmation details if you contact us.
9. Payments
Payment methods depend on the listing:
- Some on-platform bookings are paid through Teravia or a connected payment processor
- Some are request-to-book / pay later / pay the partner directly
- Third-party bookings are paid under that provider’s checkout
You authorise the applicable charges for the guests and dates you select. Chargebacks filed in bad faith may lead to account restrictions.
10. Cancellations and changes
Cancellation rights, fees, and refund timing follow the listing policy and our Cancellation Policy. Weather, force majeure, and partner operational limits can affect departures.
11. Travel responsibilities
You are responsible for passports, visas, insurance, health requirements, transport to meeting points, and complying with local law. Teravia does not provide travel insurance. Adventure activities involve inherent risk; follow partner safety instructions.
12. Intellectual property
Teravia’s trademarks, site design, software, and original editorial content are owned by Teravia or its licensors. Partners retain ownership of their listing content subject to the licence they grant us. You may not use Teravia branding without written permission.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free content, or that every listing will meet your expectations. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of partners or third-party booking platforms, except where the law requires otherwise or where we have expressly assumed a duty.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Teravia is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service or from trips you take. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is unlawful).
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Teravia against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these terms, or content you submit, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
16. Suspension and termination
You may close your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, fraud risk, prolonged inactivity, or legal reasons. Provisions that should survive (including liability limits, IP, and booking obligations already formed) continue after termination.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Courts in Tirana have non-exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you the right to sue in your home courts.
Before formal proceedings, please contact us at info@teravia.al so we can try to resolve the issue.
18. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, except where consent is required by law.
